Welcome to ShommyX Church. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShommyX Church platform, including the website at shommyxchurch.com and the ShommyX Church mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by ShommyX Technologies Inc. ("ShommyX," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian. Church administrators are responsible for ensuring that their members meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
Upload or share content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory
Impersonate any person or entity
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

4. Church Administrator Responsibilities

Church administrators who create and manage churches on the platform agree to:

Use the Service only for legitimate church management purposes
Ensure that member data is collected and used in compliance with applicable privacy laws
Not misuse member information for purposes unrelated to church operations
Manage access permissions responsibly and review member roles regularly
Be responsible for the content posted through their church's account (announcements, events, etc.)

5. Content Ownership

Your content: You retain ownership of content you create or upload (messages, photos, documents, notes). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the Service.
Our content: The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by ShommyX Technologies Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws.
Church data: Data entered by church administrators and members belongs to the church and its members. We act as a data processor on behalf of the church.

6. Believers Dating Feature

The Believers Dating feature is an optional, opt-in service within the platform. By using it, you additionally agree to:

Provide truthful information in your dating profile
Treat other users with respect and dignity
Not use the feature for solicitation, scams, or any purpose other than genuine relationship seeking
Report any inappropriate behavior to church administrators or our support team

We do not conduct background checks on users. You are responsible for your own safety when interacting with other users.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Churches may subscribe to paid plans for additional features and capacity.
Payments are processed through Stripe or Paystack. You agree to their respective terms of service.
Subscription fees are billed according to the selected billing cycle (monthly or annually).
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@shommyxchurch.com for refund requests.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

9. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@shommyxchurch.com.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any reason with reasonable notice.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHOMMYX TECHNOLOGIES INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShommyX Technologies Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
