Delete your account

You can delete your ShommyX Church account yourself, at any time. It is permanent, and it happens straight away.

If you are the only admin of a church, do this first

Deletion is refused while you are the sole admin of a church, so that no congregation is left without anyone who can administer it. Make another member an admin first, then come back and delete.

From the app

  1. 1. Open ShommyX Church and sign in.
  2. 2. Go to Profile.
  3. 3. Choose Delete account.
  4. 4. Type DELETE PROFILE, then YES, and enter your password.

All three are required. They exist so that a mis-tap on a phone is never enough on its own.

What is deleted

  • • Your account — email, name and password.
  • • Your member profile, and your profile photo from our storage.
  • • Your membership of every church you belong to.
  • • Your Believers Dating profile, if you created one, including your photos and gallery images.
  • • Your sign-in sessions, so you are signed out everywhere.

What your church keeps

Records that belong to the church rather than to you are not yours to erase, and removing them would damage the church's own books. Giving records are the clearest case: they are financial records the church may be required to keep for tax and audit purposes, so a donation stays on the church's ledger.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email [email protected] from the address your account is registered to and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before we do anything, and email you when it is done.

Signing in and doing it yourself is faster — the app deletes immediately, where an emailed request has to wait for a person.
